Daniel A. Fass
Daniel A. Fass, born in New York City in 1952, is a 1977 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, where he participated in the New York State Assembly Legislative Intern Program. Prior to forming Klapper & Fass as a principal debt collection lawyer , he was an Assistant Attorney General with the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office. Thereafter, he was an associate with the firm of Schekter Aber Rishty & Goldstein, P.C., and then became Vice President and General Counsel of Benton Energy Corporation. Mr. Fass has served as a Special Master in the New York State Supreme Court and is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Fass has extensive experience in representing equipment lessors and lenders in the commercial litigation and bankruptcy areas prior to his present position as a New York collection attorney .
Over thirty-five years as a practicing litigator, trial attorney and corporate and business counselor. Areas of expertise include contract law; sales, equipment leasing and secured transactions; business law, including shareholder and partnership disputes; commercial debt collection, including judgment enforcement and fraudulent transfers; real estate disputes, including lease litigation and specific performance actions; construction law and mechanics lien foreclosure; commercial real estate foreclosure; business entity formation, including stock sale agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements and limited liability company operating agreements.
