Attorney
Daniel A. Fass, born in New York City on August 5, 1952, is a 1977 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, where he participated in the New York State Assembly Legislative Intern Program. Prior to forming Klapper & Fass as a principal debt collection lawyer, he was an Assistant Attorney General with the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office. Thereafter, he was an associate with the firm of Schekter Aber Rishty & Goldstein, P.C., and then became Vice President and General Counsel of Benton Energy Corporation. Mr. Fass has served as a Special Master in the New York State Supreme Court and is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Fass has extensive experience in representing equipment lessors and lenders in the commercial litigation and bankruptcy areas prior to his present position as a New York collection attorney.
Joshua H. Klapper, born in New York City on November 6, 1953, is a 1977 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of Conscience, Hofstra Law School's news publication. Prior to forming Klapper & Fass to focus on New York debt collection, Mr. Klapper was an attorney with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). Thereafter, he was a member of the firm of Klapper & Rosen. Mr. Klapper is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is a member of the Washington, D.C. Bar. Mr. Klapper has extensive experience in commercial litigation, including commercial landlord-tenant, real estate, advertising, public relations and general corporate matters.
